There are not just good people with guns and bad people with guns. There are also drunk people with guns and confused people with guns and children playing with guns. I think he has a good point about security guards, but most people who have guns in this country have little training in how to use them and may not be very useful in an emergency even if their hearts are in the right place. At the very least, we need to better enforce laws about who has access to guns. Most of us agree that that should not include people convicted of serious crimes or people who have been found to be dangerous by reason of mental illness.
