You Create Your Own Hell

Thank God for TV Series like this one which empowers a sense of personal response ability. We spend so much time, energy, effort and focus on hating what the world is, regretting what its been and fearing what it might become -- that we fall into the trap of worshiping the problems instead of fixing them. We hate Hillary. We hate Trump. We hate Liberals. We hate Conservatives. We hate Nazis. We hate Socialists. We hate Communists. We hate Christians. We hate Jews. We hate Muslims. We hate atheists. We go on and on about all of the things we hate. We're addicted to it. The people and things we project our hate onto, they are not the causes of the suffering we claim we want to put a stop to. They are symptoms of our own refusal to take response ability. Our own refusal to create positive change. Our own false sense of guilt that we try to hide from ourselves because it is too painful to face head on. Our own sense of self-hatred that some of us are in denial of having, and others of us embrace as the only thing we're willing to accept as being real. Nothing in the external world is the cause of all we hate and loath. They are the consequences of our hatred and loathing. They are the end result of our collective narcissism. And the more we resist seeing the truth of this, the more we will only fuel and amplify all of the things we claim to oppose as we virtue signal our way into self destruction. Owning the fact that we've been the allies of evil, is the only way to choose to ally with good. But for as long as a false sense of guilt fueled by fear and regret continues the cycles of hatred, solutions will seem like delusions. Continuing to empower the problems with a false sense of self righteous justification will be the only reality we insist can be real or possible, as we virtue signal ourselves into perpetual collective suicide. This is not pessimism, this is reality. Pessimism is a refusal to face this mess based on a belief that we can't clean it up. That is pessimism. Hiding from your pessimism in a cloud of virtue signaled denial is not reality. It is self abuse. It is narcissism. It is destruction.
