deviantART Journal: [video] How Is Morality Defined?This is once again a reply I made that I feel stands on its own, as once again I feel more temptation to turn this into its own video, as well. So thats exactly what I've done.
Perhaps the act of trying to define morality, in and of itself -- is one of the biggest issues that causes immorality. So I'm going to play devil's advocate here ....
Maybe instead of trying to define anything or figure out anything, perhaps instead we should do something that we really never do: learn from the mistakes of history.
Einstein's definition of insanity, is to continue to do the same exact thing over and over, always expecting different results.
Maybe instead of always trying to punish people for everything and always trying to force people to think one way or another, maybe we should OBSERVE the problems within society and look objectively at its CAUSES. Immorality causes nothing, its a symptom, not a disease itself.
